Hirving Lozano shared a video clip of Rafael Leao’s controversial penalty box tackle during the 1-1 draw in the Champions League quarter-final second leg between Napoli and Milan, before removing the post earlier on Wednesday afternoon.
The clip appeared on Lozano’s Instagram story for a couple of hours of Wednesday afternoon, but is no longer available to view online.
Napoli players, coaches and supporters were furious at referee Szymon Marciniak’s decision not to award a penalty for Leao’s challenge on Lozano in Milan’s penalty area as the Portuguese appeared to not make contact with the ball.
The decision was waved away by the World Cup final referee and was deemed not to be a clear and obvious error by the VAR.
Luciano Spalletti also lamented the decision not to award Napoli a penalty in his post-match press conference.
