The Viola face the Partenopei on Sunday at the Artemio Franchi, and with Maurizio Sarri’s side just a point behind the Bianconeri, the Tuscan club could deal their bitter rivals a blow.

“We’ll prepare as usual for the Lazio match,” Pezzella insisted, speaking to Sky.

“We’ll put our desire and will to win out there. We’re playing against a strong team, as Juventus are, but we want to put in a  quality, strong and clear performance that will allow us to keep fighting for our seasonal objectives.

“I don’t care who wins the Scudetto, we want to do well and get these three points against Napoli.

“They’re crucial points if we want to reach the objective we’ve set for ourselves, which is qualifying for the Europa League.

“Against Napoli, Fiorentina will have to play as a team, otherwise it will be very tough. We can beat Napoli, I believe in our strength and in our team.

“The Europa League is still an achievable goal, we’re only three points behind Milan and anything can happen.”
