Pescara have agreed a deal for Argentine striker Milton Caraglio, beating competition from Catania.

Caraglio had been in Italy for several days in order to hold negotiations with both Serie A clubs over a January transfer.

Catania had seemed to be the hot favourites, but it is reported this evening that the Rangers de Talca forward is in Perugia undergoing a medical.

It is believed the transfer will be made official tomorrow morning.

Caraglio just turned 24 and has played in Argentina with Rosario Central, America with NE Revolution and in Chile with Rangers de Talca. He also had a trial run at West Ham United in 2010, but failed a medical.
