After Milan President Silvio Berlusconi referred to Mario Balotelli as “a bad apple,” his agent Mino Raiola insisted “he is a cherry.”

Berlusconi hit the headlines this week when stating he did not want the Manchester City striker in his squad.

“Balotelli is not a bad apple. He is a cherry,” replied agent Raiola on Sky Sport Italia.

“I think that in this case the President made a huge mistake, it was a real gaffe. As for Balotelli’s chances of returning to Italy right now, I’d give it at 0.0001 per cent. Napoli? There is absolutely nothing in this story.”

Raiola also commented on various other transfer stories circulating in January.

“I think Vladimir Weiss is more likely to join Napoli in June than Milan or Inter. Robinho will stay at Milan and can renew his contract, which expires in 2014.

“I will reveal that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would’ve loved to play for Napoli. He told me one day he’d love it, because he really enjoys the Stadio San Paolo atmosphere.”
