Simone Perrotta's three-match ban has been reduced to two, but Roma teammate Daniele De Rossi's appeal was rejected.

Both players were sent off during the ill-tempered 3-2 win away to Bari and originally suspended for three rounds.

The Disciplinary Commission today “partially accepted” the appeal for Perrotta, who video footage shows only struck Andrea Masiello with a small rabbit punch on the back.

It was still violent conduct and so the ban has been reduced to two games.

However, De Rossi's three-match suspension stands after he elbowed Simone Bentivoglio in the face.

This means the season is over for De Rossi, while Perrotta will be available for the final match against Sampdoria.
