Ivan Perisic is at somewhat of a crossroads with Inter following his strong Coppa Italia final performance yesterday.

The 33-year-old Croatian forward’s contract expires with the Nerazzurri at the end of this season and their purchase of Robin Gosens from Atalanta in January made the club’s intentions clear. Perisic hasn’t started to slow down, however, and his brace was vital in securing the Coppa Italia yesterday.

As reported by Corriere della Sera, Perisic is clearly frustrated with Inter regarding their contract renewal talks; the Croatian asked for a three-year deal worth €6m net per season, but the club never offered higher than a two-year deal worth €4m net per season.

The 33-year-old will now have to decide whether to restart talks with Inter or focus on finding a new club abroad, with clubs in both the Bundesliga and Premier League interested.

Perisic has made 47 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3748 minutes. In that time, he’s scored nine goals and provided eight assists.

  1. He’ll never get a 3-year deal that big at age 33. One, maybe two years at a club that needs his unique skill set to win a trophy or make the CL.

  2. @boh,what do you mean? perisic is the best and most consistent inter player 2021/22 season.he deserved 3yrs
and €6m contract.i wish Roma can afford him is a reliable player.

  3. Perisic is the only Inter player I really admire this season. I hope he can get better offer or just move to the better clubs.
