It was reported today that Juve’s Beppe Marotta would meet Grifone President Enrico Preziosi at the Lega Serie A meeting to open talks, and it seems negotiations will start today.
“Today can definitely be the basis for opening a dialogue,” Perinetti told calciomercato.com.
“In the Lega we’ll have the important issue of TV rights, which means the survival of clubs so I don’t think we’ll close anything today. It can, however, be a chance for new contact.
“We haven't made any evaluations [on Perin’s price] because we haven’t yet received an official offer from Juventus.
“There have been offers from other clubs, but with Juve there’s only been a chat between President Preziosi and Marotta, where we were informed of their interest in the lad.
“Juventus, quite rightly and honestly, waited for [Gigi] Buffon’s farewell. We’re waiting for them to contact us, but today could be the right occasion to open talks.
“We’re starting from the premise that it’s not Genoa who need to start a negotiation, we’re waiting for Juventus, with whom we have an excellent relationship.
“Over the years we’ve managed to find a solution for various deals, we’ll see if we can find one again this time.”
It has been suggested that Emil Audero or Stefano Sturaro could be offered in exchange to bring the cost down.
“We know Audero very well, he’s a lad of great potential who I gave his professional debut at Venezia.
“Emil is a prospect that I and Juventus really believe in, but it’s difficult to replace a goalkeeper with the experience and charisma of Perin with a youngster like Audero right away. “As for Sturaro, we wanted him last year and if it were up to us we’d sign him, even outside of the Perin affair.”
