“There is this incredible affection with Genoa and it’s not just words when I say this is my home, as I’ve been a part of this family since I was 16 years old,” he said in the Secolo XIX newspaper.
“There is this undoubted emotional synergy between us, a sentiment that will last forever. We are lending each other a helping hand during a difficult moment.
“I have a contract with Juventus, so at the end of the season I’ll meet with them and my agent to find the best solution for all concerned. Having said that, I am entirely concentrated on the present and that is Genoa.”
The Rossoblu have certainly improved in recent matches, winning three of their last four before the lockdown, under third coach of the campaign Davide Nicola.
“He has this incredible positive energy, so with two words or a gesture, he can push everyone along,” continued Perin.
“The coach is also very smart tactically, with an excellent staff that helps him prepare. Above all else, he is a psychologist, so a great deal of the credit for the points we picked up is down to him, as he transformed our negative energy into positivity.”
