The President spoke to Marca today and outlined his future plans for the club, including a life-time contract for Cristiano Ronaldo.
“My greatest regret? That I wasn’t able to bring champions like Patrick Vieira, Francesco Totti and Ronaldinho to Real Madrid.”
The Roma captain also confirmed last month that he had been in advanced negotiations with the Merengues, but opted to stay with his hometown club.
“I would’ve liked more opportunities in my career, but I preferred to stay with Roma,” Totti told France Football.
“If I had chosen Real Madrid, I’d have won three Champions Leagues and two Ballon d’Ors on top of who knows what else.
“I would’ve had more opportunities, that is beyond doubt, but I am happy with my choices. The only regret is that we could’ve won two or three more Scudetti with Roma.”
