It kicks off this Sunday at 11:30a.m., UK time. The 32-year-old will be hoping to repeat himself after scoring a goal against the Giallorossi on January 6, in a chaotic game that ended 3-3.

“We're walking into the pitch with the objective of getting a result,” Pepe told Il Messaggero. “Spalletti changed the Roma environment completely.

“I rebooted my career with the goal against [Wojciech] Szczesny. It was almost a sign of destiny, although the Roma fans must have thought, 'look at this guy, he doesn't play for two years and then he comes and scores against us.

“I am still very close to my former teammates at Juventus, we have a chat in which we keep hearing each other.

“They managed another extraordinary accomplishment. The Bianconeri fans remember me fondly, and this makes me proud, especially considering that I'm not as much of a champion as others are.

“The gap between Roma and Juventus comes down to a mentality chasm that cannot be explained. It's something that you convey, a part of the club. Winning becomes the norm.

“And having seven or eight Italian players helps. We're the only ones who can explain to the foreign players the way that certain things work.”
