“Adapting to Di Francesco’s style? It takes a bit of time, but I think we’re getting there. We can also see it in training.

“Myself aside, Kolarov, Nainggolan and El Shaarawy also played well on the other wing. We did very well, we tried to do what the Coach asked of us.

“He tries to get us on the pitch, [letting us] know what needs to be done.

“So many moves are dictated by your opponents. We got through several times because there were spaces through the middle.

“It’s down to you to see if your opponents are a bit tighter and then go out wide, or vice versa.

“The movement of the wide men gives you more space and causes problems for your opponents.

“Important to see work paying off? There was a desire for everyone to get back to winning, it didn’t happen for a while, both due to the postponed match and the Champions League, which I think was a great result.

“We could’ve scored more goals, but we did well. Cengiz? He’s a very clever guy. We found keywords to communicate with him.”
