The former Manchester City manager admitted last month that he’s always wanted to work in Serie A, and the Rossoneri are likely to dispense with Cristian Brocchi when his contract ends on June 30.

According to La Segunda, Pellegrini is preparing to fly out to Italy to finalise a contract with the Diavolo.

However, these reports must be taken with a pinch of salt, as Milan President Silvio Berlusconi is currently in talks to sell the club to a Chinese consortium.

That means that next season’s budget has not yet been decided on, and all contract talks are on hold.

While it’s possible the Chinese have agreed to the appointment of Pellegrini, it’s not certain the Coach would sign-on without knowing who will own the club.
