Giampiero Ventura is “happy” to be Italy CT but “at my age” he can’t get excited.
The 68-year-old was yesterday confirmed as Antonio Conte’s replacement on the Azzurri bench, having left Torino last week.
“Am I happy? I’m always happy,” Ventura told ANSA.
“Excited? No, don’t talk about that at my age…”
Ventura got married last week, and was asked about his new “marriage” to the national team.
