All three of Italy's sporting papers lead with the story, with the general consensus being that Pazzini will have his medical later today.

It's believed that Pazzini has cost Inter €13m in a deal which will also see Jonathan Biabiany and youth team prospect Luca Caldirola head to Marassi.

The former Atalanta and Fiorentina player will put pen to paper on a contract that will expire in 2015. He'll earn around €2.5m per season.

Pazzini was expected to leave Marassi at the end of the season, with Juventus very keen on acquiring his services.

The Old Lady's lack of finances has made it impossible for them to rival Inter's bid this month.

Juve have made just two signings in January. Luca Toni arrived from Genoa on a free and Andrea Barzagli was signed from Wolfsburg for €300,000.

Sampdoria also sold Pazzini's strike-partner Antonio Cassano this month when he joined San Siro giants Milan.
