Giampaolo Pazzini could reportedly be given a rare Milan start in tonight’s Coppa Italia tie with Sassuolo.

The big striker hasn’t played from the start for the Rossoneri this season, making eight substitute appearances in Serie A.

However, Tuttosport believes that the former Fiorentina man could be handed a starting shirt tonight when Sassuolo visit San Siro in the Coppa Italia last 16.

Corriere dello Sport also states that Pazzini will be trusted with leading the line, while Alessio Cerci looks set to make his first start for the club since joining from Atletico Madrid.

Philippe Mexes is suspended, so Cristian Zapata and Alex will start in central defence.

Christian Abbiati will start in goal, after telling journalists yesterday that he believes Milan should treat this competition like the Champions League.

Probable Milan line-up to play Sassuolo: Abbiati; Abata, Alex, Zapata, De Sciglio; Bonaventura, De Jong, Poli, Cerci, Pazzini, El Shaarawy.
