Giampaolo Pazzini could reportedly be set to return to Sampdoria, as he looks to end his Milan exile.

The striker has played a total of just 69 minutes in Serie A this season spread across five substitute appearances, failing to score a single goal.

Milan Coach Filippo Inzaghi’s decision to exclude Pazzini drew criticism from the player’s wife recently, and, with his contract up in June, it is believed that the 30-year-old is seeking to leave San Siro.

The forward has been linked with a return to Sampdoria and Sky today reiterate that the Blucerchiati are considering making a move to bring the striker back to Genoa in January.

Pazzini spent three seasons at the Marassi, amassing 48 goals in 87 games across all competitions as he struck up a deadly partnership with Antonio Cassano, and the broadcaster believes that a return to Marassi would be attractive for both parties.

While Sky believes that Samp have made a contract renewal for Stefano Okaka, their main priority in January, it also states that a move for Pazzini is being seriously considered by club hierarchy.
