Brazilian outfit Corinthians are reportedly on the verge of signing Alexandre Pato from Italian giants Milan.

The injury-plagued forward has put in a transfer request and Vice-President Adriano Galliani is currently in Brazil working on his sale.

Galliani met with Corinthians yesterday and, although he insists more talks are needed, a €15m transfer is expected to be done by the start of 2013.

“The meeting went very well,” Galliani commented. “But the negotiations are still not complete. We’ll meet again in Sao Paulo at the end of the year.”

Pato, 23, has failed to score in four League games for the Diavolo so far this season.

Meanwhile, Galliani is also trying to sell Robinho as he too has requested a move back to his homeland.

There seems to be a two-horse race for the former Real Madrid man given that Santos and Atletico Mineiro want the forward.

Milan value Robinho, still only 28, at around €12m.
