Alexandre Pato insists he would “never” follow Leonardo's example by crossing over to Inter. “I only want Milan.”

The Coach caused controversy when he accepted the bench after Rafa Benitez terminated his contract.

“This is a profession, Leonardo made a decision and we respect that,” assured Pato on Sky Sport Italia.

“I just want to win with this jersey, which I will wear as long as the club wants me to. Would I go to Inter? No, never. I only want Milan.

“Inter are always Inter, a strong side that won everything last season, but as I have already said we must focus on our own targets. I am convinced we will do well.”

They are still top of the table despite the chaotic 4-4 draw with Udinese on Sunday and are settling in well with Massimiliano Allegri.

“The Coach deserves to be at Milan, as he is a great manager and we are all happy. He talks to everybody and helps them all out. Allegri knows how to motivate the players, even those who have already won everything.

“We are united and a real team. We want to win for him. I do what he asks me to, which is to sacrifice myself to help the side.”

Allegri did not find room in his team for Ronaldinho, who completed the transfer to Flamengo this week.

“We will miss his personality and his smile, not forgetting on the pitch he is among the best in the world,” continued Pato.

“He went home for the Selecao and I hope to play alongside him for Brazil.”
