French newspapers claim PSG will offer Javier Pastore to Roma in exchange for Miralem Pjanic.

Bosnian international Pjanic has been repeatedly linked with Paris Saint-Germain and was even spotted in the stands for some of their games.

He is currently negotiating a contract extension with the Giallorossi, but the situation has still not been resolved.

According to L’Equipe, PSG are prepared to offer Argentine talent Pastore in exchange for the midfielder.

It would be a return to Serie A for Pastore, who was sold to the Parisians by Palermo for €42m in 2011.

He hasn’t quite delivered on the promise of that extraordinary price-tag, even if he scored a wonderful individual goal in the Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea.

This season El Flaco has just three goals in 37 competitive games for Paris Saint-Germain this season.

His fellow 24-year-old Pjanic plays in a more defensive role on paper, but has scored six goals in 33 Serie A appearances.

He knows Ligue 1 well, having played for Metz and Olympique Lyonnais.
