Carlo Ancelotti praised “the perfect performance” from Real Madrid against Bayern Munich, but denies he killed Tiki-Taka.

“It was I think our best game, especially against an opponent that was to be considered very dangerous. We got the measure of them in the first leg and again tonight,” he told Sky Sport Italia after a 4-0 victory in Germany.

This sent Real through to the Champions League Final 5-0 on aggregate, demolishing the holders.

“It was a surprising result, one you can only get with the perfect performance and that’s what we did.

“It was important for this team to reach a Final after three semi-final eliminations. We’ll give it our all, clearly with huge motivation.

“We played to the best of our abilities. Football is balance above all else, defending and attacking. We did everything well and that gave us a result like that.”

Sergio Ramos got two goals, but Xabi Alonso was booked and will be suspended for the Final. Was Ancelotti tempted to substitute his players who were at risk of suspension?

“The game was on the right track at 3-0, but not finished. I remember losing a Final when we were 3-0 up… I didn’t think it was a yellow card offence, we’re disappointed for the player, but we’ll try to win for him too.”

Ancelotti will face either his former club Chelsea or Liga rivals Atletico Madrid in the Final in Lisbon next month.

“I wouldn’t know who to pick. On the one side Chelsea have experience, on the other Atletico Madrid have enthusiasm and incredible hunger.

“I think the work we did from January onwards was very positive, the side is in good physical shape and we’re in the balance for the Liga too.”

Ancelotti laughed when he was asked if he had killed Tiki-Taka.

“No, it’ll never die deep down.”
