Parma general director Pietro Leonardi says he has received no offer from Sampdoria for Antonio Cassano, while he won’t loan out Marco Parolo.

Cassano today committed his future to his current club and Leonardi says a transfer was not even a possibility.

“Antonio has today said that he will remain at Parma, this is a definitive answer and he stated the same thing to me on Sunday,” the official noted.

“I also never heard anything official from Sampdoria.

“Cassano, who we made a big financial sacrifice to sign, is a Parma player. He is ours and he is a precious object even with his defects.”

Leonardi was also questioned on midfielder Parolo, a man who is understood to be on the transfer radar of Roma.

“If there is a valid opportunity to sell anyone this month then we will evaluate it,” he added. “We only want players who want to stay here.

“With regards to Parolo, people keep asking me for him on loan but we won’t allow that. There is nothing important at this moment in time.”
