Parma are reportedly considering that, if they lose Roberto Donadoni this summer to Milan, Filippo Inzaghi would be brought as replacement.

Speculation continues to surround the Rossoneri and their intentions for the San Siro bench beyond the end of this season, when it is generally accepted that Clarence Seedorf’s brief tenure will come to an end.

The club’s Primavera Coach Inzaghi is listed as the leading candidate to replace the Dutchman, but reports this week say that former Diavolo midfielder Donadoni, for his continued impressive work with Parma, remains a credible alternate choice.

It is a situation that apparently has the Ducali weighing up their options, with it believed that they would be unwilling to stand in Donadoni’s way should Milan come in.

La Repubblica today suggest that one of club President Tommaso Ghirardi’s plans, should the Rossoneri make a move for Donadoni, would be to ask them to release Inzaghi in turn, for the former striker to be appointed as their new Coach.

Whilst Inzaghi’s arrival on the Tardini bench is seen at this stage as only one of a number of hypotheses, Ghirardi is described as a fan of the 40-year-old’s work.

Inzaghi has history with Parma from his playing days, having spent the 1995-96 season on their books.
