Parma boss Franco Colomba says his job would be made easier if the club hold on to Sebastian Giovinco and Amauri.

Parma boss Franco Colomba says his job would be made easier if the club hold on to Sebastian Giovinco and Amauri.

The Gialloblu spent most of the campaign fighting for survival, but they reached their objective thanks to the on-loan duo from Juventus.

While Colomba confirmed that Giovinco would remain, he also made it clear that he'd like the Brazilian-born Italian international too.

"Giovinco has great qualities, but he still has a lot of work to do," Colomba told Radio Sportiva on Monday. "The club will buy a half share in him though.

"Amauri? He's a mature player. He'd be very useful for us next season and I really do hope that he remains."

Parma have an option to buy a 50 per cent stake in Giovinco from Juventus for a fee of €3.5m this summer.

However, Amauri is on a simple loan agreement from the Turin giants which means Parma have no priority if Juve do decide to release him.

Amauri has scored seven League goals in 11 games for the club since his January switch, while Giovinco has bagged seven in 29.
