“I am sure it will be a wonderful match. Milan are deservedly top of the table,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

“We will play them one at a time and try to put together as many points as possible, but we’ll only look at the table closer to March or April, when we’ll be able to see what we’ve done well or badly.”

Pirlo hasn’t had the best start to his management career, so Paratici was asked if this was the biggest test so far of his readiness for the role.

“I don’t think anyone is more accustomed to top level fixtures than Pirlo, so he is more than ready for this sort of challenge.”

Paulo Dybala starts this evening because Alvaro Morata is out injured, but despite scoring against Udinese on Sunday, he has not been in good form.

“I think all great players are always under pressure. Paulo is a great player, he’s been here for several years, so he is accustomed to it. I don’t see him worried or tense, but with the same motivation we all have to play a great Milan-Juve.”

Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado have not made the trip to Milan due to COVID-19.

“We have a competitive squad, we’ll see over the next few games if anything needs to be done, but there is no rush to get something done.

“All the clubs are dealing with similar difficulties, we stick to the protocols and are not worried by those who are absent this evening.”
