Juventus face a Lazio side that found themselves without the likes of Ciro Immobile, Thomas Strakosha and Lucas Leiva who had tested positive for Covid.

The trio, however, played against Torino last week despite reportedly testing positive a few days earlier, ahead of Lazio’s Champions League clash against Club Brugge.

“Lazio are involved in this situation, not Juventus. We have prepared the game, and we want to make a great game and bring home the victory," Paratici told DAZN.

“There are rules and protocols that allow us to give a regular continuity to the championship,” Paratici added.

“If someone does not respect them it is right that that authorities control and eventually punish them. Over the last two months, unfortunately, every team has been affected by Covid but thanks to the protocols, league and cup games have gone ahead.”

Paratici confirmed Federico Chiesa has had a muscle injury, as exclusively reported by Football Italia.

“He had a muscle strain yesterday morning, this morning he was not feeling well yet and he is not available.”

The Juventus’ CFO did also comment on Alvaro Morata’s recent form.

“That’s what we expected. We’ve known him since he was 20.

“We’ve always been in touch with him because he is a special boy and a great player.

“He has always played in big clubs and we expected that he would be more mature than when he left. He was already a big player a few years ago but he’s even improved.”
