Angelo Peruzzi says Lazio are happy for their recent results but refuses to reply to questions about Covid controversies.

Ciro Immobile, Thomas Strakosha and Lucas Leiva had had a positive swab test ahead of Lazio’s Champions League clash against Club Burgge on October 28 but during the following week-end they were included into Lazio’s team to face Torino with Immobile and Leiva who entered the pitch in the second half. Immobile even scored the equalizer from the spot.

UEFA did once again prevent them from playing the successive Champions League match against Zenit St. Petersburg earlier this week as the trio were still positive for Covid. The same happened yesterday when the swab tests underwent by the three Lazio stars came back positive, even if ‘midly.’

All of them are not being included in Lazio’s squad to face Juventus today. (follow the game LIVE).

The FIGC Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into Lazio and possible violations of the health protocols made by the Aquile who risk anything 'between fines to exclusion from the championship.

Lazio's President Claudio Lotito explained the club's position in an interview with La Repubblica yesteday, but according to DAZN, Lazio have refused to reply to questions concerning the case ahead of today’s game.

“Although we had defections we brought results at home and this makes us happy,” Peruzzi, a former Juventus star, told DAZN.

"If elements are missing something is lost, we try to make up as we have done so far and then we’ll see. When you play against Juve, you don’t have to say anything to the guys.”
