Rudi Garcia is widely expected to be sacked after tomorrow afternoon’s final match of 2015 against Genoa.

While there are some reports that Luciano Spalletti has agreed to take over, the former Zenit boss wants an 18-month contract.

So does Marcelo Bielsa, another alternative for the bench.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and others claim Roma hierarchy are hesitant because they are waiting for Conte to become free from the Italy job after Euro 2016.

Milan are in a similar situation with Sinisa Mihajlovic and have also been heavily linked with Conte.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, Roma have identified a suitable caretaker for the next six months in the form of Panucci.

The ex-Giallorossi defender was sacked by Serie B side Livorno just under a month ago and before then had been Fabio Capello’s assistant manager for Russia.

Although the rules in Italy state no Coach can work for two clubs in the same Division during one season, Panucci would be available because Livorno are in Serie B.
