With the American patron in Italy at the moment, it has been suggested that crucial talks over the stadium could take place, and Pallotta confirmed as much this morning.

“Today is the day for the stadium,” the President told RomaNews.

“I’ll have three important meetings. Where? In a special secret place…”

One of the hot topics in recent weeks has been whether or not the Lupi will extend the contract of veteran captain Francesco Totti.

It’s been reported that Er Pupone wants to play for another season, with kit sponsors Nike keen for him to remain on the pitch, but Pallotta would not be drawn on the issue.

“Why do you keep asking the same questions? You know I can’t talk about our business.

“Walter Sabatini? Always the same questions…”

Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning that Nike are considering producing a special shirt for next season if Totti is granted one final year on the pitch.
