Roma President James Pallotta apologises if he has “inaccurate information” about Milan’s takeover.
The Giallorossi patron caused a stir last night when he claimed the Diavolo had “lost their minds”, stating they’d taken a high interest loan close to €300m.
Rossoneri CEO Marco Fassone hit back today, and now the American has slightly walked back his claims.
“I apologise if I have inaccurate information,” Pallotta said in a statement.
“I care a lot about Italian football and its return to the top. In that regard, I expect all clubs to contribute to a stronger and more sustainable League as we’re doing at Roma.
“I wish Milan the best, and I wish good luck to their new owners. I look forward to the new owners working alongside us in an incisive way for the good of Serie A.”
