“We played well yesterday, but the ball just wouldn’t go in,” Pallotta said in an interview with Premium Sport.

“Getting to the second round is a great result for us, and it’s a positive that there are two Italian teams there.
“I’m in line with the vast majority of fans, who are great, they’re involved and they make us feel their passion. I know what the problems are with the Curva Sud, we’re trying to solve them.
“Despite what is being said on TV or on the radio, I’m on the side of the fans. It’s frustrating to see the stadium empty after two second places and reaching the Last 16 of the Champions League.
“I’m disappointed by the whistles, we have a top team. There have been ups and downs, but we’ll see where we are at the end of the year.
