Maurizio Zamparini has told Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini that there will always be a job for him at Palermo.

Sabatini was the Rosanero’s transfer chief for two years before he resigned from the post in November 2010.

“I’d take him back straight away,” Palermo President Zamparini told Radio Radio on Friday morning. “We talk every now and again, that pleases me.

“Right now, he’s one of the best talent scouts in circulation and he is proving that by the players he is bringing to Italy.”

Sabatini, 56, joined the Roma revolution in the summer but his future is in doubt given that his contact expires in June.

The official yesterday admitted that he’d like to stay in the capital, but insisted he had to prove that he deserved to be confirmed in his role.
