José Mourinho will return to the Roma bench after a two-match ban in Serie A: ‘Out of jail.’
The Special One was given a two-match suspension after a red card shown in a home 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Olimpico at the end of February. Mourinho allegedly told referee Luca Pairetto: ‘Juventus sent you.’
The Giallorossi picked up 1-0 wins against Spezia and Atalanta in their following two games without the Special One on the bench.
However, he will be back tomorrow in the first leg of the Conference League Round of 16 away at Vitesse. The Portuguese tactician posted a picture on his official Instagram account announcing his return. “Out of jail, ready to travel to Conference League,” he wrote. Mourinho will face the media for a pre-match press conference at 17.45 UK time.
Roma won their Conference League group and sit fifth in the Serie A table, on even points with Atalanta, even if La Dea has a game in hand.
