Adam Ounas says he “didn’t think about it for a moment” when he received the offer from Napoli.
The winger has joined the Partenopei from Bordeaux, and is looking forward to his first season in Italy.
“I didn’t expect it at all, it’s great,” Ounas told Corriere dello Sport.
“Getting to Napoli has been a big step forward, a huge growth. I’m happy, who wouldn’t be?

“Other teams? I’m not going to name names, but when Napoli called in mid-May I didn’t think about it for a moment, I really wanted this team.
“For a forward it’s the best, we always have the ball, we play football, we score and we put on a show.
“Did I watch Napoli in France? The first one I saw was Napoli-Frosinone, when [Gonzalo] Higuain got the record. A fantastic stadium, a crazy atmosphere.
“What really grabbed me though was Napoli-Real Madrid: for 50-60 minutes I was left there with my mouth open.”
It hasn’t all been plain sailing though, as Ounas posted a picture on his Instagram of pasta with french fries in it…
“I didn’t eat it! It was my cousin!”
