Patrik Schick’s agent says the collapse of his move to Juventus “is not easy to explain”.
The Sampdoria striker was all set to complete a €30m move to Turin, but medical tests showed a heart problem which would have required at least a month of rest.
However, speaking to iSport in the Czech Republic, the player’s agent says that didn’t cause the deal to collapse.
“It’s not easy to explain,” Pavel Paska told the website.

However, speaking to iSport in the Czech Republic, the player’s agent says that didn’t cause the deal to collapse.
“It’s not easy to explain,” Pavel Paska told the website.
“There were many things involved in recent weeks, it’s been a challenging time for everyone involved.
“Patrik started his season in late July with Sparta [Prague], he moved to Sampdoria in the middle of the month. He played for an entire year, except for an eight-day break around Christmas.
“The last game was at the [Under-21] European Championships on June 24. He’s 21, and that’s a huge workload.
“His season finished in Italy at the end of May, he had two days off and then he immediately got on a plane.
“He played in Belgium and in Norway, he travelled a lot. At the same time he was suffering with angina, then he went to the Under-21 European Championships and played three tough games.
“He played 44 matches over the season.
“The enormous workload and the tremendous stress put on him was reflected in the results of the health check. After the angina, he had some kind of infectious inflammation on his heart.
“All the doctors agreed we’d do everything to ensure it wasn’t serious. It’s just about overloading the body, because the infection will leave the body without medication.
“In our country the doctor would have waved his hand at such things, but in Italy the tests continued. The cardiologist said he didn’t like it.
“So Juventus pulled out? No, actually. That’s been misrepresented. It had no effect on the transfer, in spite of the test results they wanted to go ahead with the transfer, it was absolutely acceptable for them.
“A lot of athletes face similar problems, it’s nothing serious. It’s purely related to fatigue.
“When he went to Turin, Patrik had just had a match with Italy. He got up at 6am to get on the plane, he was under stress and that could have affected it.
“Nothing like this had happened before, I have here an examination from the cardiology department at Prague hospital.
“His medical before the transfer to Sampdoria was completely clean, it’s a fatigue problem due to his most challenging season.
“The problem would have been resolved after the five weeks of rest. I myself saw Patrik was overloaded and drained.
“That’s why I told Juventus and Sampdoria he was taking a five-week holiday, which was recommended by the doctor after his second medical in Rome.
“When he returns to Sampdoria he’ll go through an obligatory medical as he does every year, then we’ll see if he joins the team or goes to a fitness specialist.”
