Victor Osimhen has not yet returned from international duty, again coming back late after playing for Nigeria.

The 23-year-old Partenopei forward could do little but watch as his Nigeria side fell to Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers in the recent international break, playing the full 90 minutes of both legs but failing to contribute to a goal. He is now the last player to return to the Napoli set up following this break.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are not concerned about Osimhen’s late return from international duty. They have carried out the proper work to ensure that he’ll be able to travel to Italy from Lagos and they’ve already accepted the fact that he’ll miss the clash against Atalanta, giving permission for the delay.

It seems likely that there will always be minor delays every time he returns to play for Nigeria, something which has happened before in the past.

Some fans are also concerned about the fact that Osimhen has been usually quiet on social media lately; the 23-year-old has not posted anything since March 23, an incredibly rare sight as he usually maintains a daily presence online.

It’s obvious that he’s disappointed about Nigeria’s failure to reach the World Cup, but he’s also a professional who’s ready to dedicate himself to Napoli.
