Victor Osimhen’s agent is meeting with Napoli again today to discuss a contract extension, but it’s reported the Al-Hilal proposal is considerably lower than expected.

It is common knowledge that the striker is trying to work out a new deal with the Partenopei after helping them to their first Serie A title in over 30 years and becoming the first African to be crowned Capocannoniere.

His current contract runs to June 2025 and he will receive a salary increase, but the main concern seems to be the release clause, which Napoli want to put at over €150m and his entourage closer to €110m.

Agent Roberto Calenda was spotted at the Napoli base again this afternoon for another meeting.

According to Sky Sport Italia, it was not to discuss the proposal from the Saudi Pro League.

This is because while the salary on offer might be huge, the transfer fee to Napoli is much lower than expected.

There had been suggestions today the bid would be raised to €180m, but Sky Sport Italia maintain it is just over €100m, which would be rejected out of hand.
