The nominations for the Oscar del Calcio are released, including Antonio Cassano, Mario Balotelli, Jose Mourinho and Wesley Sneijder.

The awards are voted for by the AIC (Italian Players' Association) and is the Italian equivalent of the PFA Awards, with the ceremony held on January 24.

The Player of the Year will be decided from the winners of Best Italian Player and Best Foreign Player.

There are some intriguing nominations, including Cassano battling Capocannoniere Antonio Di Natale and Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo for Best Italian Player.

Manchester City's Balotelli has a tough category with Alexandre Pato of Milan and Palermo revelation Javier Pastore for Best Young Player.

Best Goalkeeper is between Morgan De Sanctis, Julio Cesar and Salvatore Sirigu.

There is a nod to the injured Walter Samuel in his nomination for Best Defender along with Giorgio Chiellini and Thiago Silva.

Mourinho is naturally up for the Coach of the Year award along with Massimiliano Allegri for his time at Cagliari and Milan, plus Sampdoria and Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri.

The nominations were chosen by counting the votes from players during summer training camps.

There will also be awards for Best Goal of 2010, Team of the Year, Top Scorer of the Year and the Fair Play Award.
