The awards are voted for by the Serie A players and are at their 15th edition with the ceremony held on January 23.

Some have already been assigned, as Cavani wins as top scorer of 2011 thanks to his 28 goals for Napoli, while Milan earned more points over the calendar year than any other.

There are nine categories, while at the end the Player of the Year goes to one from the winners of Best Italian and Best Foreign Player.

This list also includes ex-Udinese star Alexis Sanchez and former Inter striker Samuel Eto’o, who joined Barcelona and Anzhi respectively over the summer.

Best Young Player: Alexandre Pato, Andrea Ranocchia, Alexis Sanchez
