Inter have reportedly reached an agreement with Ajax goalkeeper André Onana, who is set to replace Samir Handanovic at the Giuseppe Meazza.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Nerazzurri have already found their future No. 1, with Onana currently in the last year of his deal with the Dutch giants.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano confirms the Cameroon international has already agreed terms with Inter and will sign on a free transfer in 2022.

Onana is currently out with a doping ban until November 2021 and the 25-year-old was also linked with possible moves to Ligue 1 clubs Olympique Lyonnais and Nice.

But the talks collapsed, as Onana has already reached a verbal agreement with Inter and the Nerazzurri had been looking at the possibility of signing the Ajax player already in January.

But Handanovic continues to impress, and the captain has convinced Inter to wait until next summer.

Onana’s contract with Ajax expires in June 2022 and will be free to sign for a new team from February 1.

The reports in Italy claim Onana is arriving and will take over the gloves at Pinetina from July 2022.
