According to Sky Sport Italia, Ogbonna is targeted as the ideal replacement for Lucio if the Brazilian does not extend his contract.
Lucio's current deal only runs to June 2012 and therefore he will be sold this summer to avoid being released as a free agent next year.
“Ogbonna has matured, earned experience and proved he is ready for top clubs like Napoli,” agent Carlo Pallavicino told Radio Crc.
“I think the moment has come for him to step up a level.”
