Lyon's Brazilian midfielder Ederson is “still in contact with Lazio. A while back I had practically signed.”
There had been reports of Ederson coming to Serie A and specifically the Stadio Olimpico, but a deal could not be agreed.
“A while back I had practically signed for Lazio,” he told the French media.
“At the last moment things didn't come together the way they were supposed to.
“I haven't spoken to anyone at the club, but my agent is still in contact with Lazio.”
Ederson can play as an attacking central midfielder or a winger. The 25-year-old has been in France since 2004 and at Olympique Lyonnais from 2008.
