Massimiliano Allegri has announced his 20-man squad for Juventus’ coming Serie A clash with Empoli, confirming the absences of three star players.

As expected, Mattia De Sciglio, Federico Chiesa and Adrien Rabiot are all unavailable for Juventus, dealing with various injuries. Suspended duo Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli are predictably absent as well, as is Moise Kean, who is seemingly just a step away from joining Atletico Madrid on loan.

Rabiot is sidelined with a calf injury whilst Chiesa is dealing with a bone edema in his knee. De Sciglio is still returning from a cruciate ligament injury but is expected to be back in the squad in the coming weeks.

Allegri is expected to pair Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz up front for Juventus, with a five-man midfield made up of Andrea Cambiaso, Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Fabio Miretti and Filip Kostic and a three-man defence of Federico Gatti, Gleison Bremer and Danilo.

When Juventus met Empoli back in September, they cruised to a 2-0 win after goals from Danilo and Chiesa.

This evening’s match kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
