It is now official that Siena have agreed a deal with new Coach Giuseppe Sannino.

The club needed a new tactician after Antonio Conte left in order to take the Juventus job.

Several options were suggested, including Roma boss Vincenzo Montella, but Sannino has been chosen and penned a two-year contract.

The new boss will be presented to the media on Tuesday afternoon. "We welcome Sannino with open arms," said President Massimo Mezzaroma.

"This is a tactician who has always fought with dedication, grit and determination to achieve everything and we hope he brings that attitude to Siena."

He also comes up from Serie B, as Sannino was in charge of Varese, who crashed out of the promotion Play-Offs last night.

The 53-year-old goes into his first top flight experience, as so far he has managed sides like Biellese, Sudtirol, Meda, Sangiovannese, Cosenza, Lecco, Pergocrema and since 2008 Varese.
