Paris Saint-Germain have officially announced the arrival of Renato Sanches from LOSC, putting an end to any remaining hopes for Milan. ‘I’m sure that I made the right choice.’

The Rossoneri seemingly had a deal in place with the Portugal international midfielder several months ago, but when PSG came in with a superior salary offer – but an inferior transfer fee – the player changed his mind.

There had still been some hope over the last couple of days, but with this evening’s announcement, it confirms Renato Sanches has signed for PSG until June 2027 at a cost of circa €15m.

It’s the second time this summer Milan have missed out on a Lille player after they eventually sold Sven Botman to Newcastle United instead.

“I’m sure that I’ve made the right choice by signing for the club,” he told the PSG website.

“I chose Paris Saint-Germain because I think that it’s the best project for me. Staying in France was important to me, as I know this league already.”

  1. Once posted about choosing what’s good for your soul, not your ego. Well we all know what he chooses now.

  2. 15m is a steal. Absolute bargain. The kid has clearly found himself and his form again in Ligue 1 – has to do what he feels is right for him. Like Batman, Milan was never going to neither offer silly transfer fees or ridiculous wages. Better off getting hungry and motivated players who want to play for the shirt instead.

  3. We had a deal in hand months before PSG came up, so why did we delay? A club that just won the championship, no transfer budget, they can’t even sort out the manager’s contract. Kessie spent 4 years in Milan and at the end of the day, after professing his undying love he left, so what do you expect from this one in the face of big money ?

  4. Ralph

undying love, my heatwave tanned backside. Kessie’s agent was asking for too much money and that was apparent even a year ago. Milan were not going to budge, so the last 12 months plus was a foregone conclusion that he would leave. Why do you think there was a poor drop in form, and barely turned up last season? His mind was already elsewhere.

  5. Ok so since it’s really, actually ,official can this please be the last story about this soon to be bench player for PSG ?

  6. Two American based clubs have pounced very quick on the players one Chelsea the other roma
As milan have been very very poor in the transfer market I new from day one investcorp was the better option the new owner is very very slow in getting deals done

  7. Waqas

    😂😂😂

Who have they pounced on very quick? Paying 50m for a full back from Brighton, or 20m plus for a kid from villa?

Go and follow those clubs. It’s not like Milan owes you anything.

  8. Tbh I feel this guy is overrated and injury prone. Also, why should Milan chase him if he prefer more money at PSG? With such leech agent as Mendes, he may become Kessie or Donnarumma ver.2 in the future.
