The transfers were announced in two different statements, because while Barca could spill the news earlier, Juve had to wait until the Italian stock exchange had closed.
“FC Barcelona and Juventus have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Miralem Pjanic. The cost of the operation will be 60 million euros plus 5m in variables,” read a Barcelona statement.
“The player will sign a contract with the club for the next four seasons, until the end of the 2023/24 season, with a buy-out clause of 400 million euros.
“The player will remain with Juventus until the 2019/20 season is over.”
As for the Juventus statement, it contained a few more details, for example that in both cases, the payment will be over four instalments.
Pjanic’s sale will generate a net profit of €41.8m for the Bianconeri, taking into account both payment and outstanding wages.
The two midfielders both had their medicals in Turin on Sunday and signed the contracts before Arthur flew back to Spain to continue training.
They will remain with their current clubs for the rest of the 2019-20 sporting season, which will be once their Champions League campaigns have concluded in August.

Bosnia international Pjanic joined Juve in 2016 when they paid the €32m release clause in his Roma contract.
Pjanic came to Serie A for Roma in 2011, previously playing for Olympique Lyonnais and FC Metz.
The 30-year-old leaves the Bianconeri after 171 games, scoring 22 goals and providing 36 assists, although he will continue to play for the rest of this season.
