Juventus have officially announced the arrival of Leandro Paredes from Paris Saint-Germain on loan with obligation to buy for a total €22.6m.

The deal was finally done last night and he underwent his medical in Paris this afternoon.

The Argentina international is now en route to Turin, where he hopes to sit in the stands for this evening’s Serie A match against Spezia at the Allianz Juventus Stadium.

As per protocol, Juventus released a statement with a detailed financial outline of the agreement, as the club is floated on the stock exchange.

It is a loan with obligation to buy if certain sporting objectives are achieved in the 2022-23 campaign, but Juve also have the option to make the move permanent.

In both cases, the total figure will be €22.6m to be paid in three instalments, plus up to €3m in performance-related bonuses.

As part of the agreement, if Juventus do not choose to purchase Paredes, they will still owe PSG a figure of €2.5m.
