Luciano Spalletti has officially been appointed new Napoli coach. ‘We’ll do a great work together,’ said the Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Inter sacked the Italian tactician two years ago, and Spalletti returns coaching for the first time since.
He has signed a €3.5m-a-year contract until June 2023 with the Partenopei.
“I am delighted to announce that Luciano Spalletti will become Napoli coach on 1 July. Welcome, Luciano, we’ll do great work together,” said Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Napoli sacked Gennaro Gattuso after finishing fifth in 2020-21.
The former Milan midfielder has been named Fiorentina coach.
