Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo saluted Andrea Pirlo on Instagram, while Leonardo Bonucci welcomed back Massimiliano Allegri.

Pirlo was sacked by Juventus on Friday after his first season as a coach.

He won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup, but Juventus managed a narrow top four finish in the last game of the season.

Many players saluted the former midfielder, including Gianluigi Buffon, Paulo Dybala, Alvaro Morata and Leonardo Bonucci.

Cristiano Ronaldo has joined them with an Instagram story where he wrote: ‘Thank you Maestro, it was a honour to be coached by you.’

Ronaldo is reportedly unhappy about Massimiliano Allegri’s return to the club and is considering leaving Juventus in the summer.

Leonardo Bonucci, on the other hand, seems to be thrilled by the return of the Tuscan tactician to the Bianconeri bench.

‘Welcome back Mister,’ Bonucci wrote on Instagram, posting a picture together with Allegri.

Back in 2017, Bonucci clashed with Allegri and left the Bianconeri to join Milan at the end of the campaign.

However, his time in a red and black shirt only lasted one season as he returned to Juventus in the summer of 2018.
