Divock Origi’s contract with Milan has been officially deposited to the Lega Calcio, so the Rossoneri will announce his signing soon.

The official website of Lega Calcio confirms that Origi’s contract has been registered by Milan.

The Belgium international had undergone his medicals two weeks ago, but the announcement was postponed due to bureaucratic issues.

The former Liverpool striker has joined the Serie A champion on a free transfer after his contract with the Reds expired. He is now ready to start a new chapter of his career at the Stadio Meazza.

Origi didn’t join his new teammates for the first day of pre-season on Monday but will arrive at Milanello for the first time today.

However, he will train separately from the rest of the group for at least 10 days to recover from a muscle injury he sustained in the second part of last season with Liverpool.

The 27-year-old spent seven years with the Reds and scored 47 goals in 171 appearances at Anfield.

UPDATE: Milan confirmed Origi’s signing after a few hours. Check out the official statement from the club here.
