Lazio have officially sent young defender Dimitrije Kamenovic to Czech outfit Slavia Prague on loan.

The Biancocelesti signed the Serbian centre back from FC Cukaricki for €3m in July of last year, filling up one of their two non-EU player slots. Kamenovic has failed to impress Maurizio Sarri since his arrival, being given just one first team appearance over the last 18 months.

As highlighted via Gianluca Di Marzio, Kamenovic has left Lazio for Slavia Prague, joining the Czech outfit on a six-month loan deal with a €2.5m buy option attached. He’ll be desperate to receive regular minutes as he works to continue his development.

The 22-year-old’s departure frees up one of the two non-EU player slots in the Lazio squad, giving them a little more flexibility in the upcoming January transfer window.

Whilst untested in Italy, Kamenovic is a talented young defender who can play as both a full back and centre back, having good positioning and stamina.
